Let me introduce you to one of the most remarkable residents at Heartstone Veganic Sanctuary: Stevie.

 

Stevie might look like your average Angus cross at first glance, with his brindle coat that seems black in winter and brown in summer, but his story—and his heart—are anything but ordinary.

 

Part of the "Three Muscleteers", Stevie is a dairy farm survivour and a rather unique mix of Angus and Jersey. This gives him an unusual physique and a certain charm that’s hard to resist. But what truly sets Stevie apart is his incredible compassion and care for others.

Here are just a few examples of how Stevie has touched the lives of those around him:

🌟 The Guardian of the Blind Girls
When Stevie first arrived, instead of frolicking with his fellow calves, he gave up his own calfhood to care for two blind cows, Angel and Ivy. He stayed by their sides, helping them find their way and navigate the world, showing patience and love beyond his years.

🌟 Comforting Ebony
When Ebony, a grieving former Angus breeding cow, joined us after losing her last calf, Stevie—still just a baby himself—sat by her side, offering her the comfort and care she so desperately needed.

🌟 The Sweetest Partner
Stevie is now the permanent partner of Saffy, the matriarch of the herd, winning her heart with his gentle and loving nature (despite a little competition from Scooby, who has a bit of a crush on her).
